ID Group Launches Virtual Operation Center
～ Creating New Value in System Operations through the Fusion of Real and Virtual Worlds ～
Our consolidated subsidiary, ID Data Center Management Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Masahiko Kagami; hereinafter referred to as "DCM"), will begin selling the Virtual Operation Center (VROP), which has been under development by our group company, Information Development Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Tomoko Takehara; hereinafter referred to as "ID"), starting January 23, 2024.
In recent years, digital technology has been rapidly evolving, increasing the importance of system operations that support the stable operation of IT. Our group aims to transform the way system operations are conducted, positioning VROP as a solution that brings new value to future system operations.
Moving forward, DCM will work with customers to conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) in system operation tasks, while ID will continue to develop additional features such as real-time monitoring, fault detection, and whiteboard functions to enhance operational efficiency, aiming to release a new version around the summer of 2024.
■Overview of VROP
VROP is a virtual system operation center built in the metaverse, a virtual space on the internet. By accessing VROP from multiple physically separated locations and using new communication methods that blend the real and virtual worlds, it enables system operation tasks such as system monitoring and operations in the metaverse. VROP not only addresses risks that make business continuity difficult, such as large-scale disasters and labor shortages, but also offers new ways of working and added appeal to system operations.
VROP includes communication features such as 3D audio and chat, as well as essential functions for system operation. It also incorporates security measures like two-factor authentication, encrypted communication, and access history management, ensuring a secure system operation environment.
